TAP Millennium Development Goals Dragons' Dens
The Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Dragons' Den is part of a larger programme to engage the AIESEC Alumni towards the MDGs. The participants are young professionals from companies and NGO's with at least 3 years of working experience.
The idea is based on the TV show, called the Dragons' Den, in which candidates with a good business idea can pitch it in front of a panel of investors. These investors will seek for answers to the important question: Would I put my money behind this idea? They will ask the candidates serious and sometimes ruthless questions to test their business sense. One by one the dragons give their final verdict: will they invest in it or not?
Just imagine what can happen... when groups of young professionals brainstorm constructively about the Millennium Development Goals... the resulting ideas on social entrepreneurial projects to engage companies in achieving the MDGs are presented to a panel of experts and leaders in society... and when these leaders give feedback and determine the winning idea...
